Sharing Facebook posts from your business page. As I have been setting up our new Buy Local Michigan Video Blog I have made an observation when it comes to sharing facebook posts. I have done some research and have not been able to find exactly what I was looking for regarding this topic.
Found many tips on engaging the audience with good content. Having a good strategy and how that it is important. Using ads and making it personal are all part of the process and is very good and solid information.
Sharing Facebook posts and how it works as part of your strategy and what is good tips is what I was looking for.
Allow me to explain, When posting on my business Facebook page the ‘People Reached’ goes up when I take extra time and go into my personal page and ‘SHARE’ with the people in the video on their timeline. NOTE: you must be friends to do this. Taking it a step further and sharing on their business facebook timeline increases the ‘People Reached’ as well. NOTE: You must like their business page.
In my next post ‘Sharing Business Facebook Posts’ I will show some examples of how I have seen this work within my blog. For all your video and media production needs call me at 231-937-5420 to set up an appointment. We are ready to tell your story.

Dr. Singh provides free patient education videos and testimonials to build patient loyalty .
What makes us loyal to certain brands and in healthcare what helps with patient loyalty? In today’s world of digital media and marketing we are looking for making it real.
In West Michigan there is a Doctor that is using web site video to expand his message. Dr. Harpreet Singh and the rest of the team at Vital Checklist use video to tell and share their story.
In a recent article I read entitled ‘Patient Loyalty and the Social Media’ Effect, Verkamp, Jamie. The Journal of Medical Practice Management : MPM29.2 (Sep/Oct 2013):96-8.
This article was aimed at the healthcare market but it works in every business. Here are their three tips: 1) Remember who bought dinner. Do we “thank” our patients (customers) after each interaction? Have your staff (sales people, employees) thank your patients (customers) for choosing you upon the close of each part of the office visit. 2) Like the song written by Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills & Nash says ‘Love the one you’re with’. Taking a moment to truly focus on the person in front of us. Wow your patients (customers) by making eye contact. Look around the computer or look up from the chart and take a moment to see patients (customers) on their level. 3) Mi casa es su casa. “My house is your house.” Think about how we treat our “houseguests.” When we welcome new guests to our home, we open the door, introduce them to our family, give them a tour, and offer them refreshments.
As I read the article it was like taking the plays out of Dr. Singh’s playbook. Over the past year we have produced over 90 videos that are used on his facebook page, Vital Checklist, Dr. Singh and iCrush websites
Patient Loyalty, Customer loyalty are important factors in how and why we do business.
Contact Duane at DW Video 231-937-5420 to discuss how we can tell your story. Video Profiles, Customer Testimonials, New Product Introductions and more… we are here to help.

The art of storytelling has been around for centuries and the art of video storytelling is here today. We are wired to listen and we learn better if someone’s words and visuals can have both meaning and emotion. Here are some tips on video storytelling. 1) Keep it simple. Keep it easy to understand. 2. Play off Emotion. Does your story solve a problem? Does it make someones life easy? In this video Dr. Singh’s patient has a story on how he has changed her life. After conducting the interview the passion in Barb’s voice. I pictured the video in my head. Going the extra mile and recording at her home really helped tell the story. [youtube_sc url=”http://youtu.be/_EI4QzpV9ck” title=”Video%20Storytelling” rel=”0″]

Video Storytelling is an art. Connect with your audience by making it real and sharing emotion.
3) Keep it real and tell the truth. As a consumer we know when the message is fake and there is something wrong in Denmark. 4) You have to know your audience and address there problem – solution when doing video storytelling. One of my favorite movies, Eddie and the Cruisers. Eddie was talking to his song writer, ‘Words and Music Kid – Words and Music’. The combination of words and video carry the same power. Telling your story and keeping it simple is what most of us want. Especially when telling your story on your blog, social media and websites. Knowing that when a student is coming to a College or University the parent is with them. Knowing this part of our story for promoting Ferris State University we interviewed a proud Bulldog parent.
