We highlight Thermal Tec, a Cedar Springs Business that uses DW Video’s Buy Local Video Profiles. We shared this Cedar Springs business story once before – in review, Robert Siterlet, President, Thermal-Tec Roofing came into our studio to shoot a number of videos highlighting the various styles of roofs his roofing system works on.
Combining graphics and video clips we produced this short descriptive video profile highlighting Thermal Tec’s MR Roofing System.

DW Video covers all of Michigan – this highlight is with Cedar Springs Business: Thermal-Tec
Description of Thermal Tec Metal Roofing Video: Have a leaky, rusty metal roof? Thermal-Tec has been in the roofing business for over 30 years and has tens of millions of foot of roof out there that you can look at. Folks in your industry, rather it be in steel or aluminum alloy production you have a lot of concerns with leaky roofs. At Thermal-Tec we have the answer and are here to help. The Thermal-Tec MR Roofing System has a polyester membrane that expands and contracts so as happens we have a system that works with the building. We want it to move as your building moves. With the polyester in place it also adds 100,000 pounds of tinsel strength to the roof. The MR Roofing system is impervious to alkalies, acids, chlorine chloride our system is not harmed by those products. White coatings are not the answer – white coatings will lessen some of your thermal shock but they won’t stop the leaks. You need that full polyester membrane to stop leaks. We have done work for a number of companies within your industry. We are easy to do business with, give us a call today 1-800-531-9798. video produced by www.dwvideo.com.php56-26.ord1-1.websitetestlink.com

At DW Video we offer Clare Video Production Services.
DW Video provides Clare Video Production Services! Clare is a diverse community that boasts a wonderful place to call home. One company that calls Clare home is Benchley’s Amish Furniture since 1989.
KLM Productions owner Kathy Murphy, called in DW Video to provide her client from Clare, video production services. This included a number of broadcast commercials and a Buy Local Video Profile.
According to their website: “Benchley’s Amish Furniture & Gifts. Who would guess that just outside of Clare, Michigan, in the heart of Amish Country, you would find Michigan’s largest selection of Amish made furniture? In this quaint, picturesque, rural setting, you’ll find all that, and more, known as Benchley’s Amish Furniture.”
Our first video shoot we spent a full day capturing video around their 20,000 square foot facility. The video captured provided us with a years worth of video to create a couple more commercials. Having the stock video from this shoot allows Kathy to write a script and we then edit. No extra cost on additional days of shooting.
It was not until about 9 months later we went back to capture video during the Christmas season – the store changes throughout the year. Another trip some time later was to focus on accessories only. As Kathy came up with new scripts, we needed more specialty video. At DW Video we work with you and your budget. We are here to help. Contact us today to learn more about what we can do for you…. we are here to help.

At DW Video we enjoy promoting businesses, communities and people, like in this Stanton Video Production. Stanton was organized in 1860 when the people of Montcalm County voted to move the county seat here from Greenville, which was the original county seat since 1840.

Central Montcalm Football game made it into the Stanton Community Video
For this video we had Frank Krywicki design a motion graphic with the Stanton logo. Motion and animated graphics add a touch of class to the branding statement for your community and business. When producing this video it was our goal to not have it scripted. Instead, use our Buy Local Video Profile approach and have the people tell the story. For the Stanton Video Production we interviewed the County Sheriff, the superintendent of schools, business and community members.
Really enjoyed this video shoot, attending their festival, football games and meeting with the people that make up this small town… the Montcalm County seat… Stanton.

One of the coolest videos shoots I have been on was at the Deer Ranch St Ignace. The Deer Ranch in St. Ignace, Michigan, is known as the oldest live whitetail exhibit in North America. A great family experience where you can see Michigan Whitetail Deer and fawns including white deer all in a natural setting which you can photograph and feed while walking along a nature trail.

Getting an opportunity to pet this young buck I found his antlers to be very hot to touch.

He loved to be petted.
Now what made this so cool. This young buck made his way to use to be our star. Once the camera was off, I was able to pet this guy. It was like petting a cat. The more you scratched it behind the ears, the more it would rub against my body. At times lifting me up – the whitetail deer is very strong. This buck was in velvet. Very soft to the touch and when you rubbed its antlers – it loved it.
Once tidbit I found interesting and I guess I knew this without knowing this (if that makes any sense) – their antler when in velvet are very hot to the touch. Like a young child with a high temp. This makes perfect sense as there is blood flowing under the velvet. I guess until I touched it myself – that correlation never hit my brain waves. Any ways – really cool.
According to the Deer Ranch St Ignace website, “The Deer Ranch in St. Ignace first opened in 1950. Since then, the Deer Ranch has grown to include: whitetails, white whitetails and albino deer.” All I know is it was a blast and an experience I was able to share with my son. Priceless…. all in Pure Michigan!

My son getting his turn to pet this young buck.

Interviewing the owner . Check out the big guy behind him – wow!

Is this camera for me!

To all the hunters – would you like to see this in this in the woods?

This is one of the coolest video shoots…. ever!

The winter of 2014 found video producer Duane Weed capturing some stock footage and time lapse video around Michigan.
The winter of 2014 is one we will not forget. It will be remembered for the amount of days schools were closed. The amount of snow and the number of days of cold weather – also called the polar vortex will be in our minds for awhile. During this time I decided to shoot some time lapse videos with my GoPro Hero 3. Time lapse is a series of frames taken at an interval to give you the result you are looking for. When played at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing.
Like with any effect you do not want to over do it, add Time Lapse Video as at tool for telling a story. Here are a few examples – similar in style – all around our great state of Michigan.

It may have been cold and windy outside – this Michigan Time Lapse was done over a one hour time frame, Edited with Sony Vegas Pro the slow zoom in was done in editing. The final was put to a buy out music soundtrack.
[youtube_sc url=”http://youtu.be/mR2klpILu7Q” rel=”0″]
A Michigan Sunrise is beautiful. Editor Duane Weed took this time lapse with the GoPro. During editing added titles and movement to the final video. Then used a buy out music cut to not infringe on copyright issues.
[youtube_sc url=”http://youtu.be/1pv_A2LVQYI” rel=”0″]
In Frankport there was a storm coming in across Lake Michigan. Using the GoPro set this time lapse for around 45 minutes. Love the cloud action.
Using many techniques to tell a story – Time Lapse Video is a great tool for your storytelling toolbox.
