WordPress SEO by Yoast Page Analysis aids in making your blog post SEO friendly.
I talked before about the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin. Â As I write my blog I reference the analysis section to help me. Please note – to see the changes you must ‘Save Draft’ fist.
This info was from a recent post.  By using the analysis on the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin I am able to get the following information:
|
The keyword density is 0.85%, which is a bit low, the keyword was found 3 times. |
|
The page title contains 21 characters, which is less than the recommended minimum of 40 characters. Use the space to add keyword variations or create compelling call-to-action copy. |
|
No subheading tags (like an H2) appear in the copy. |
|
The keyword / phrase appears in the URL for this page. |
|
The images on this page contain alt tags with the target keyword / phrase. |
|
This page has 1 outbound link(s). |
|
The copy scores 85.1 in the Flesch Reading Ease test, which is considered easy to read. |
|
You’ve never used this focus keyword before, very good. |
|
The page title contains keyword / phrase, at the beginning which is considered to improve rankings. |
|
In the specified meta description, consider: How does it compare to the competition? Could it be made more appealing? |
|
The meta description contains the primary keyword / phrase. |
|
There are 358 words contained in the body copy, this is more than the 300 word recommended minimum. |
|
The keyword appears in the first paragraph of the copy. |

WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin I aim for a GREEN light.

WordPress SEO by Yoast Scheduler is a great tool to work ahead.
Now, I am not an expert, however I am trying to make sure my keywords are being seen. Â Over use will get you a red flag which is also helpful.
The WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin likes images with alt tags.
Likes a good word count.
Enjoys outbound links.
Does your page title include the key word or keyword phrase – important.
Has this keyword been used before.
This section I call the guideline area. Â There are times I get a ‘green’ light with less or in this case more words than what is recommend. Â Again good guidelines to follow.

Schedule your WordPress Blog Post.  If your life is anything like mine time is an issue.  We have a few minutes here and a few minutes there.  When I began using my WordPress Blog my intentions was to use it to inform, educate and help with SEO in my area.  The majority of the time I was trying to follow a publishing schedule.  For me it was a post of day for ninety days.  April one to July One.  Almost there.  In WordPress, you can schedule posts to go live at a particular time and date, so you don’t need to be at your computer (or even awake) when the post goes live.

Setting a WordPress Blog Post schedule is important.
We are all busy and carving out a chunk of time to write is not always the easy thing to do. Â For me it was laptop in my lap while watching TV at night with the family. Â Some nights I would pump out two or three blog post and other evenings only one. Â The nice thing about doing a WordPress Blog Post is you can schedule. Keeping with my one a day at one point I was ten or twelve days ahead. Â That was then, like now I am doing my Blog Post now, getting ready to publish as soon as these fingers can type.
It is nice that you can schedule. Â Best when you can stay ahead. Do not get me wrong. Â Going to share a tip and this will make sense to many of you. Â Starting something new you are excited. Â Find it easy to make the time. Â As the days and months ticked by it became a chore (at times). Â However as I mentioned in a previous post – at the end of my ninety day challenge my programmer and I will review my stats and then share with you. Â The Good, Bad and Ugly. Â You see in my world the mistakes I make teach. Â Stay tuned.

Using WordPress Blogging for SEO
WordPress Blogging tips help with SEO.  Title tags for your blog is something Google likes to see.  For this example we will use ‘WordPress Blogging tips’ as our title.   I read on the DIYThemes website, “Better to write for people, and then tweak your pages later for search engines”.   A good practice is to include your page title towards the top of the page. This is beneficial for your readers and search engines to draw them into your article.
Tagging your images is another way to make your photos friendly with Google. Â Filename:Â WordPress-Blogging-tips.jpg, Â Title: WordPress Blogging tips, Â Alt Tag:Â WordPress-Blogging-tips. Â Be careful not to over use your key words. Â This is why I like WordPress SEO by Yoast. Â It tells you when you have overused a keyword or phrase.
Linking your site to relevant websites using your keywords is another good practice.  The same goes for inbound links.  Linking to other pages  within your website with content related to your title tags.
Google is a beast – a beast that needs to be fed.  Feeding it with good, relevant content is your goal. This content beast has a high metabolism and just when you feed it – it wants more.  Use your key words – WordPress Blogging tips – is part of the fun and joy in working the system for results.
I am coming close to the end of what I have called my ’90 day challenge’. Â For the past almost 90 days I have written one blog post a day, everyday since April 1. Â Note this is not an April fools joke. Â More on that exercise once I have the data.
