Big Rapids Dental Video Testimonial

This is one of my favorite examples of the power of the video testimonials.  Dr. Scharp from Big Rapids Dental has a wonderful practice and his patient Lisa, shares her experience.

The key to a good testimonial is making and keeping it real.  You can tell by listening to Lisa she was so happy with the work completed by Dr. Scharp and Big Rapids Dental.  Within the video we shot b-roll to help in telling the story.  Using our camera jib and doorway dolly to add variety to the shots.

Using the camera jib to get the video needed to tell Dr. Scharps story.

Here are some testimonial tips: 1) make it real, not scripted.  These are best when they come from the heart.  2) Have the testimonial relate to one specific item.  DFo not over do it with what you are trying to say.  If need be, make more videos if there is more to be said,  3) When the testimonial is geared toward overcoming an objection .  In this case, having all her teeth removed.

The Big Rapids Dental Video Testimonial is real, shares emotions, shows how to overcome an objection and in her voice you hear thanks.  This is priceless.

Big Rapids Business Makes Fudge

The Old Pioneer Store and Kilwin Chocolate is a Big Rapids business that makes fudge.  Walking into the Old Pioneer Store is like stepping back in time… a bit.  According to their website, “You will step back in time to experience the nostalgia of an Old-fashioned soda fountain complete with vintage apothecary shelves that were salvaged from a local drug store operating in the 1800’s. The soda fountain has a marble serving counter and is flanked by porcelain base wooden stools that feature a 10-ft brass foot rail. We enjoy serving Old Fashioned sodas, Kilwins malts, shakes, and delicious hot fudge sundaes all served in real glass dishes. ”  http://www.theoldpioneerstore.com/

In this video Brian Rose shares his love of what he does… and it shows.  Not to mention I wish we had smell a vision.  This was a shoot that made us all hungry.

While shooting this segment the cutest thing happened.  Brian and I were done with the interview and b-roll of him making fudge.  We wanted to get people at the ice bar.  Up to that point the store was busy.  When we were ready however, tumbleweeds were found.  So, we went out on the street to find a family to be our customers.  We found mom, grandma and this adorable little girl.  Mom and grandma were not interested in being on video but gave permission for the little girl.  The shot when she saw the cone Brian had made was reveled… was a reaction so real – I knew it was the golden nugget shot we were looking for.  Real, not stage and yes she enjoyed her ice cream.  Check out the video above and you will see this awesome shot.
