iCrush uses video to promote and educate.

Dr. Singh MD website uses patient testimonials to tell his story.
When talking about the power of video it is important to lead by example. Video is powerful with consumers. Video is powerful for a number of reasons, helping with SEO, not to mention a great way for patients to connect with a customer/prospect while helping to build rapport before they even meet you. Lead by example is what Dr. Harpreet Singh and the team at Vital Checklist are doing.
The COO & Creative Director of Vital Checklist, iCrush is Gagan Ahluwalia. Gagan is a highly seasoned tech masterminding the team reach and exposure. Putting into practice is what Gagan has done with the websites that include: Vital Checklist, DrSinghMD and iCrush. We use video as a tool to capture Dr. Singh’s biggest “fans” on video talking about why they chose him as their doctor. What has he done for them and why. Keeping it real. We are not looking at having them come across as professional actors, however letting them be themselves. Sharing their experience with him and why they would recommend others to his care.
So instead of just telling you this, we want to lead by example and share a page from Dr. Singh’s playbook. You and your business needs to use video as well. You need to share, not in one video, but ten, fifty and more. Share personally with your expertise. Offer tips, tricks and ways to use your products and services. Share testimonials from customers and suppliers. Create a YouTube channel, build an audience and become the expert in your field.

Dr. Singh provides free patient education videos and testimonials to build patient loyalty .
What makes us loyal to certain brands and in healthcare what helps with patient loyalty? In today’s world of digital media and marketing we are looking for making it real.
In West Michigan there is a Doctor that is using web site video to expand his message. Dr. Harpreet Singh and the rest of the team at Vital Checklist use video to tell and share their story.
In a recent article I read entitled ‘Patient Loyalty and the Social Media’ Effect, Verkamp, Jamie. The Journal of Medical Practice Management : MPM29.2 (Sep/Oct 2013):96-8.
This article was aimed at the healthcare market but it works in every business. Here are their three tips: 1) Remember who bought dinner. Do we “thank” our patients (customers) after each interaction? Have your staff (sales people, employees) thank your patients (customers) for choosing you upon the close of each part of the office visit. 2) Like the song written by Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills & Nash says ‘Love the one you’re with’. Taking a moment to truly focus on the person in front of us. Wow your patients (customers) by making eye contact. Look around the computer or look up from the chart and take a moment to see patients (customers) on their level. 3) Mi casa es su casa. “My house is your house.” Think about how we treat our “houseguests.” When we welcome new guests to our home, we open the door, introduce them to our family, give them a tour, and offer them refreshments.
As I read the article it was like taking the plays out of Dr. Singh’s playbook. Over the past year we have produced over 90 videos that are used on his facebook page, Vital Checklist, Dr. Singh and iCrush websites

Integrity in business and personal life. Who am I to talk about this topic. I do not have a PhD or have a masters in Psychology (the scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behavior in a given context.). There is a believe system. Knowing the difference between right and wrong and over time how to deal more with people and know the importance of integrity in business and personal life.
I love technology! Well, realistically however it is a love – hate relationship with technology. Why is a video/media producer talking about integrity? Recently had a client that was not 100% satisfied with what we provided her. Through multiple attempts to gather information we just had a communication problem. This became apparent from an email. Well lets just say one did not have to read between the lines to understand where she was coming from.
First off, I am not perfect, never have claimed to be and will take responsibility for my actions… even if I am in the wrong. This I blame on my parents. (note- sarcasm)
Our first instinct when receiving any type of conflict is to immediately go into a defensive position. How dare they say this or that. Our first thought is replying to the email and in great detail countering every point and item on their list with a reason why. This takes so much time and effort as you want to say it just right. Remember, how dare they say that about me and my business.
Now STOP! Breath, step back and re-read. For me it came after a second email had been sent. For which my response included two quick points along with ‘we should meet’. I will not play the game of he said, she said over email. Email has no emotion. It can take your thought and come across in a totally different way. So, responding with, “I will not go over these issues in a an email – we need to meet, where and when?” was the right thing to do.
We all have known someone that will take hours responding in a carefully crafted email only to find out they come back with more objections and before you know it – feelings are hurt, things are said and you have lost that person as a customer or friend.
Is it worth it? No is the answer. Step up and be accountable to your actions. Yes, even if you were in the wrong. Look for a solution, think of how it affects you and your customer.
The day of the meeting I had thoughts of how bad this could turn out. Knowing inside I had an answer for every observation she had and further more, a damn good answer for all of it. But, knowing that I was not going to be defensive and knowing there was a reasonable solution that will come from this meeting, I turned it over to God. Yes, through faith I knew if by listening and talking, not shouting we could come to a conclusion.
A solid conclusion we did. We are still doing business together and will continue to support each other, both in business and as friends. Integrity in business and personal life is not always easy. I remember the look on their face when they sat down as I thanked them for coming and that this is not an email thing. The husband stated he respected that and even mentioned that it showed integrity on my part. Okay, now you know why I titled this post – Integrity in business and personal life.
What does this have to do with video? Nothing! Sometimes we just need to step back and know we are dealing with people. As I have told my Boy Scouts and students – adapt and modify. Thank you,
dw

Preserve videotape memories by transferring-to DVD.

Preserve videotape memories by transferring to DVD and making copies to share with family and friends.
Preserve videotape memories by transferring to DVD is an ideal way to share those memories with family and friends. What a great birthday, anniversary and Christmas gift. This is one gift you can not find in a store. Heck, it is right there in your closet, under the TV or stored in a box somewhere.
At DW Video we can get up to 2 hours onto a DVD.
Unlike some box stores we can combine multiple tapes onto one DVD. The key is as long as the time does not exceed two hours in length. We know people do not always fill up the videotape. For example, one time I had a lady bring in well over one hundred videotapes – VHS, VHS-C and Mini-DV. There was anywhere from 2 minutes to 4 hours on each tape. NOTE: Four hours meant it was not recorded in the 2-hour mode. These had to be put on two separate DVDs. Remember, only two hours per DVD. Back to the story…. She had every tape numbered in the order she wanted. Each tape was put on as to maximize the two hour DVD. Meaning some tapes had three, four sometimes up to six tapes on one DVD. The first two tapes are at $25.00. The base price for our Video to DVD Transfer. Then $5 per additional tape. The project of over 100 DVD’s made 30-40 DVD’s.
Preserve videotape memories by transferring to DVD with our in-house transfer service. We can transfer the following videotape formats to DVD: Betacam, BetaCamSP, VHS (NTSC, PAL, or SECAM), SVHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi-8, Digital8, miniDV, DVCam, 3/4″ (U-Matic). DW Video can also tape your files from your newer video cameras and make DVD’s for you. Do you have home videos, corporate videos, wedding videos, training videos, sports highlights, dance recitals and more.

All video formats transferred to DVD… Even BetacamSP.

Making a DVD menu to easily find your videos.
