Best way to use YouTube video links. Today, we are lazy and look for the quick way to get our information out. Are you lazy – scroll down to get the answer.
Was at a meeting the other day. Casey ask Cal to send him some YouTube links. How many of you have done this? You get the URL link and place it into an email and send it off. Sounds simple and easy. Well lets look at what you potential have done. STOP – what have we really done here? We all have watched videos and at the end up pops twelve more ‘Suggested Video’ for us to look at. Can I say SQUIRREL. We click and are gone. Right there in front of us is our competition. We have with one simple click put our competitors in front of our audience. Shame on us! This is not the best way to use YouTube video links.
What is the Best way to use YouTube video links?
Before I give you a simple way to share your videos. We all want more traffic to our website. We want to drive people to our site so we increase our brand. Plus bringing them to our website over a YouTube Channel personalizes our message.
Embed your videos within our website and use that UrL when sharing videos.
So here is the best way to use YouTube video links. Ready….
Create a page on your website and embed the video within this page. Write and create content for this page that represents the benefits you provide. The really cool part of this – the prospect is on YOUR WEBSITE!!!!
Now when you send out a link to your video or videos they are within your website. Here is another free tip. If you are using WordPress there is a plug in that allows you to block the suggested videos that come up at the end. It is nice because there is a check box that that state ‘Disable Related Video Content’. Once the video is complete it goes back to your thumbnail. This simple tips makes you look very professional.
Do not give your prospects a chance to go else where. Direct them to your website. Turn them from a prospect to a customer.

Building a community movement video surrounding a great cause is the purpose of a series we are producing for Ashleigh’s iCrush 5k MS Run and Walk event at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids on May 30, 2015.
The iCrush community movement video is based on what do you want CRUSH: Diabetes, Smoking, Multiple Multiple Sclerosis and the list goes on.
For the event on May 30, 2015 we are Crushing MS. Ashleigh was diagnosed with MS in 2013. She is a 25 year old mother and wife who is in need of a reliable handicap van to help her get to her medical appointments and allow for increased independence. Our goal is to help Ashleigh live a fuller life and allow for her family to do the things the many of us take for granted. Kevin devoted husband shares their story and what a story it is.

Joking on the set brings out the best in all of us.
To create the community movement video we begin by interviewing the couple getting the back story. Making a personal connection for the ‘Why’ of the event is tell Ashleigh’s story. From our interview shoot there are going to be a number of videos.

Tom Frens uses his Buy Local Michigan interview on his website to inform and educate customers on his business.
From his website he wrote an intro to what the video was about along with a hyper-link to Buy Local Michigan. This is what he wrote: “The difference between our work and a cabinet sold at a box store is that our cabinets are made of 3/4″ thick plywood with wood veneer layers where most box store cabinets are made of 1/2″ thick press board. Press board is sawdust glued together.” For the rest of Tom Frens’ Buy Local Michigan interview please watch the video.
Instead of having just a link to Buy Local Michigan, Tom described the video and then included the link. This is a good Google practice. I keep saying this, do not over do the link exchange because Google frowns on that. Having a useful balance is important.

Using a hyperlink on their website links their site with Buy Local Michigan website (see arrow on image). We have a link to their site as well. This is a good practice on Google. Do not over do it – but it is nice to be connected to customers and suppliers.
