Since 1984 when Duane Weed first started in business he has been serving the Big Rapids area with video production services. Fast forward to 2014 – thirty years later… he is still at it.
According to Owner/Producer/Director Duane Weed, “I laugh to think that the first number one compatible media was VHS videotape. It would play in every machine. Today, Quicktime and Windows Media Video for the most part do not like each other”, Duane continues. “Players like VLC play them both. I laugh when I think bout with all this technology, VHS tape had its advantages.”
The road to technology has changed. The need however to tell a businesses story, capture those memories from 8mm film or videotape to DVD is still here. The number of times the DW Video team has been across the Mackinaw Bridge on film and videotape…. they lost count.

1919-1933
Prohibition, in the form of the 18th amendment, outlaws the sale of alcohol in the United States. Key dates to remember:
- The 18th Amendment is ratified on January 16, 1919 and goes into effect January 16, 1920.
- On March 23, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt signs into law legislation permitting the sale of 3.2% a beer.
- On December 5, 1933, the 21st Amendment repeals the 18th Amendment.
