“I have to tell you how overwhelmed I am watching this video.” states the director of Angels of Action, Joni Thompson. “You have done an amazing job and I wanted to thank you for letting yme come in and tell my story on Buy Local Michigan and help to tell the story of the 611 children in Mecosta County that we feed. Duane, You are doing amazing work and I am honored that you asked us to be featured.” Joni goes on to state, “I needed to hear myself again tell my reason for the work I do, sometimes it is so easy to get bogged down with all the details that you forget the reason….. so thank you!!!!” Blessings to you this year. Joni
It is our pleasure Joni to help promote
Angels of Action and the wonderful work you and all the volunteers are doing in Mecosta County. DW Video’s mission with the Buy Local Michigan Video Blog is to tell and promote the great people, organizations and businesses out there. It is our honor to do so,
According to the Angels of Action website, “The Angels of Action Backpack Blessings program serves children who are food insecure, meaning they do not have “access at all times to enough food for a active, healthy life.” (Anderson, 1990) The program targets kids who access free and reduced lunches. Children identified as “in need” by school and site coordinators are sent home each weekend with a backpack filled with healthy foods.”
At DW Video we want to hear your story. Do you want to be on the show? Call 231-937-5420.

President David L. Eisler welcomes you to Ferris.
‘Welcome’ is the theme for our videos for the Ferris State University Admissions Department video.
Welcome to Ferris is the opening line of the video and is carried on throughout this and the other two videos. As the producer my main goal was to make it real. Not scripted. As we were gathering interviews a common theme began to emerge – the branding statement of Ferris.
One of the challenges was so many great interviews. What makes it into the video and what does not. “Coming to Ferris is one of the best decisions I have ever made” is the opening testimonial. “Once you get to Ferris you will fall in love with the buildings, the professors and students.” I was amazed at the response from one simple question – “What do you like best about Ferris and why?”
“We offer students a real hands on experience. We bring real life learning in our program.” come from interviews with professors.
A key element that came up over and over from those we interviewed. Friendly professors that are approachable and that care about their students.
A small comfortable campus is also one of the statements that kept coming up over and over again.
Welcome to Ferris became a labor of pride. Promoting not only the university, but the people, the community. Enjoy the Video!

Big Rapids-Reed City oil and gas history. Throughout Mecosta and Osceola Counties there has been a long history in the oil and gas industry. This videos I produced back in the 90’s I think. Working with the Reed City Historical Society. Learn how it started with Mr. W.C. Taggart in Mecosta County and grew from there.

Have DW Video produce a history video series for your community.
According to the Clark Historical Library at Central Michigan University, In the 1940’s “The Reed City Field was the biggest single field strike of the decade. The Osceola and Lake County field stretched across about 5,300 acres and has produced more than 49 million barrels of oil from the Traverse, Dundee, Reed City, Detroit River and Richfield formations and over 29 billion cubic feet of natural gas from the Stray, Dundee and Detroit River formations.”
Another field that made it big states the Clark Historical Society, “The Cedar Field of Osceola County was found in 1943 by Ohio Oil Company. It would produce 1.1 million barrels of oil and 1.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas from the three formations: the Stray at 1,500 feet; the Dundee at 3,800 feet; and the Richfield at 5,000 feet. That same year, the Union-Ohio-Atha partnership found Osceola County’s Rose Lake Field, good ultimately for 1.8 million barrels of oil from 18 wells.”
Today DW Video is ready to tell your communities story. Best to use interviews from local experts in telling that story. Call DW Video 231-937-5420. Big Rapids-Reed City oil and gas history – learn more.
